This package combines the Variable Speed Feed Auger and Buddy with a newly designed base that mounts directly to the Buddy. The auger provides a steady, adjustable feed rate so you can control how quickly paydirt or other dry material enters the system.
Why Dry Material Works in the Buddy
The Buddy inlet is designed to force incoming material down to the bottom of the mat as it enters the water.
That is important when feeding dry material because the gold does not have to slowly sink through the water column while traveling down the sluice. Instead, the incoming material is directed immediately toward the recovery surface, helping reduce the chance of fine gold riding high in the water or floating past the mat.
The auger controls how much material enters the Buddy, while the Buddy inlet controls where that material enters the flow.
If the mat begins to load up, simply slow the auger down until you find the feed rate that works best for your material.
